Why do people hate celtics

In , Kyrie Irving said that he had never faced racism in Boston as an opponent. Despite him never returning to Boston as a fan since that comment, he proceeded to basically label an entire city as racist.

Being a racist is one of the worst things you can be. Therefor, unfair accusations should be taken seriously. Irving has done a marvelous job of gaslighting Celtics fans at every turn.

Although Irving claims that he wants fans to keep it just about basketball, Irving has done a poor job at keeping anything just about basketball. He has deflected at every turn. Boston fans dislike him for numerous things, none of which have anything to do with his race.

Yet, he has continued to refer to his race, as if that was a factor in this discussion. Boston fans do not dislike Kyrie Irving for the color of his skin. They dislike Kyrie for the content of his character. But as he said after the game, he's used to being in "hostile environments" and was just happy to win. So in between the last day or so, just spending some time with my teammates, spending time with myself and having conversations to keep me balanced and grounded and go out there and have fun and play basketball at a high level.

Brooklyn Nets. Boston Celtics. The Cleveland Cavaliers are way ahead of schedule. Cleveland Cavaliers 4h ago. Warriors' Stephen Curry, Draymond Green show power of their connection in one play vs.

Golden State Warriors 17h ago. Stephen Curry passes Ray Allen for most career 3-pointers made, regular season and playoffs combined. Stephen Curry makes more history in win over Bulls. Golden State Warriors 20h ago. Ah, the Lakers. Magic, Worthy, Kareem, Coop. Compared with…Bird and Kevin McHale, a gangly, but effective, power forward?

Don't get it twisted; even the biggest Boston hater gave Bird his props; he did lead Boston to three titles. But he was so… white. To his credit, Bird, who could have traded on his race for all his days, never made much of the fact that he was a white guy with game.

He just didn't care. Perkins, who's been in Boston five seasons, says that there have always been black Celtics fans in Boston , but that he's never seen so many black people around the country rooting for his team. In Boston, they're die-hard Celtics fans; they've been there. But around the country, I haven't seen too many people in the past few years just bleeding Celtic green. But now they are.

Lee, known to others as Spike, has quite the history with the green, having directed a couple of movies in the '80s that set clear lines of demarcation for black folk. Hardly a surprise that Greer didn't get to keep the beautiful Tracy Camilla Johns; at the end of his stay in the movie, he's heard to mutter, more to himself, "I'm gonna get me a white woman," so that settled that. Okay, Mars didn't win her either, but he got all the good laugh lines in the flick.

He tries to point out he has just as much right to be in Bed-Stuy as anyone else: "I was born in Brooklyn! But he is in front of a brownstone, his brownstone, that none of Buggin's friends could afford in a month of Sundays.
